Telescopes can see... photons? (via Reddit).

"Thursday, the Europeans will launch two much more advanced telescopes (right) that can see photons, even those reaching back to the Big Bang. Hubble sees visual light."

I kid you not.

Err, photons don't imply visual light at all. Photons imply electromagnetic radiation. Visual light is a subset of this.

In any case, he's modified the article to say (nonvisual) photons, so that the scientifically illiterate won't blog about it further.
