Conservative moral compass

Bill Kristol of Weekly Standard urges Bush to pardon the war criminals...

"The CIA agents who waterboarded Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, and the NSA officials who listened in on phone calls from Pakistan, should not have to worry about legal bills or public defamation. In fact, Bush might want to give some of these public servants the Medal of Freedom at the same time he bestows the honor on Generals Petraeus and Odierno. They deserve it."

I suppose it was too bad Hitler didn't have time to pardon his henchmen...

Well, I would be MUCH more concerned about this:

As you see, some individuals have a very different "moral compass". IMHO: WAY OFF!

That "tendency" looks much more scary than a fat Thanksgiving Turkey.

While you can probably feel how "alien" you feel about people with "faith", just imagine what they think about you ( especially if they still in 16th century) .

The price of human life and "high moral" issue, when one at least count how many "humans" was tortured or killed is one thing, but when you are not even considered to be a "human" ( even a "bad one"), but just "infidel" or "dirty animal" is a very different issue.

Just think: some people DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER you be a human despite you , admittedly, very high Western moral values. They will not see a slightest difference between you, J.W.Bush or innocent child or "dirty dog". They may not even care at all about you.

That what I call "scary".

And NO... unfortunately :-(, I do not see how these type of people can be left alone ( if you wanna live!) : take a India with peaceful culture ( love, Beatles, yoga) as example: they did not invade Iraq and they do not have anywhere to go as well as I believe in majority. ( as if democracy matters in this case )

Anyway, you probably disagree, but if some one got pardoned for listening to my phone conversations ( by president order in the first place) I so much do do not care :-) in comparison...

:-) LOVE and PEACE ! :-)

So the terrorist act in Mumbai was once in a lifetime event. 174 people had lost their lives.

By contrast, in the first quarter of 2007, there were 133 murders.

The probability of you dying from a terrorist attack is negligible. Unlike cancer, heart attack, drunk driving, ... Any investments in the above beat the "war on terror" in bang for the buck.

The only reason the terrorist hysteria is stoked is because this is the new way for Republican party to marshal the idiots to their cause.

You see, they can't win on their real agenda, which only benefits 1% of the population - so they have to play the fake terror and religion cards.

Серж, они могут победить! Они бьют нас в мягкий живот и если они будут делать это методично, это может привести к подрыву демократии , прийдётся отказаться от некоторых свобод чтобы защитить общество. Это всё равно что "забросать шапками" только пострашнее.

Btw, if you do not like your phone line been listen by FBI, how you like your computers remotely scanned ?

Yes, it come from this free Europe :-)

"Remote searches of suspect computers will form part of an EU plan to tackle hi-tech crime. The five-year action plan will take steps to combat the growth in cyber theft and the machines used to spread spam and other malicious programs. It will also encourage better sharing of data among European police forces to track down and prosecute criminals. Europol will co-ordinate the investigative work and also issue alerts about cyber crime sprees."
