A shame, but inevitable. Back in the day, Dr. Dobbs is where I went to learn about new concepts, new languages, get snippets of code, learn about new thingies like "stamp" processors, and so forth. But nowdays I go to the web for that sort of thing, read various webzines, and so forth. I haven't subscribed to -- or read -- Dr. Dobbs for years.
It seems a shame to see old-timers like Byte and Dr. Dobbs disappear, but time moves on, and they didn't. So it goes.
